Car Rental Terms & Conditions Agreement

  1. Rental Agreement: The renter agrees to abide by the terms and conditions outlined in this document provided by Premier Motors Antigua (the “Company”). This agreement governs the rental of Land Rover vehicles provided by the Company.
  2. Rental Period: The vehicle is rented on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis as per the agreement at the time of rental. The renter agrees to return the vehicle on the date and time specified in the rental agreement, or they may incur additional charges.
  3. Rental Charges: The renter agrees to pay for all rental charges including the rental rate, insurance, fuel, mileage, and taxes as specified at the time of rental. Late returns are subject to additional daily rental charges.
  4. Authorized Use:
  • The vehicle may be driven only by authorized drivers who possess a temporary or full-time Antigua driver’s license.
  • Manual transmission vehicles may only be driven by renters who have a license for manual transmission; otherwise, insurance coverage will not apply.
  • The vehicle may be used for off-road driving; however, renters are advised to exercise caution and avoid any use that is not suitable for a Land Rover.
  • The vehicle must not be used for any illegal purposes, in illegal activities, or to carry passengers or property for hire.
  1. Insurance and Deposit:
  • Basic insurance coverage is included, which covers third-party liability as per local laws. Additional insurance options are available and can be selected at the time of rental.
  • A deposit is required at the time of rental to cover any potential damages to the vehicle. The amount will be specified at the rental counter.
  1. Renter’s Responsibility for Damages:
  • The renter is fully responsible for any damages to the vehicle during the rental period, whether through misuse, negligence, or accident.
  • Any damage to the vehicle will be assessed upon its return and will be deducted from the deposit or charged to the renter if the costs exceed the deposit amount.
  1. Fines and Violations: The renter is responsible for all fines, penalties, and legal fees for traffic violations or other infractions during the rental period.
  2. Maintenance and Breakdowns: The renter should not attempt unauthorized repairs or modifications. In the event of a breakdown, the renter must immediately contact the Company.
  3. Fuel and Return Policy: The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the start of the rental period, or a refueling charge will apply.
  4. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the rental period are subject to a one-day rental charge.
  5. Amendments: Any amendments to this agreement must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
  6. Governing Law: This agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Antigua and Barbuda.
